About
I build systems that reduce friction, improve reliability, and reclaim time. For over a decade, my work focused on designing realistic surgical training models in collaboration with physicians. Clinical feedback shaped each iteration into products doctors could trust. That process required bridging design, manufacturing realities, and stakeholder input to keep projects moving from a back-of-the-napkin idea to a finished product.
I’ve never been one to sit still for long. I’m drawn to learning—whether it’s diving into a new subject, experimenting with a better workflow, or figuring out how to coax life out of a stubborn patch of soil in my backyard. That curiosity tends to spill over into everything I do. As a father, I channel it into building whimsical, sometimes over-the-top creations for my kids—contraptions, games, and anything else that helps them develop while enjoying the process. It’s the same energy I bring to my hobbies, whether that’s tending a garden, understanding ecology through observing pollinators, spoiling my dogs, or fine-tuning an audio system until it’s exactly how I want it.
The most useful tool that I've found useful is empathy. I’ve learned that the most effective work—whether with clients, colleagues, or kids—comes from understanding the people it's intended for. It’s not just about solving problems but seeing the bigger picture and all the cases and effect outcomes. My career may span different industries and roles, but at its core, it’s always been about creating something meaningful, thoughtful, and lasting that improves lives.
